The Good Fox and the Komuso》
"Zenko and Komuso," which features a white fox, is a work created by the artist after returning from a trip to Japan. At that time, the artist traveled along the Kumano Kodo, an ancient pilgrimage route. The dense forests along the path were filled with ancient shrines and torii gates, creating a mysterious and uncanny atmosphere that inspired him to paint this piece: the white, benevolent spirit animal known as the "Zenko" (good fox) and the "Komuso" (monk of emptiness), a pilgrim whose face remains hidden.

【Introduction of Distillery】
Founded in 1890, Craigellachie was equipped with state-of-the-art facilities at the time, with the goal of creating a whisky that was lighter and more pineapple-forward than those of older distilleries. To this day, the distillery insists on traditional worm tub condensers, as they believe this is the only way to craft a unique and full-bodied flavor profile. Additionally, the malt used by the distillery is oil-fired malt provided by Glenesk Maltings, which gives the spirit a distinctive oily malt aroma on the nose.

The other is in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, a two-minute walk from Kariya Station, where the collection centers on rum, and Mr. Hasegawa holds a Japan Rum Consultant certification. Both locations feature wooden bars, extensive spirits displays, charming atmospheres, and professional, approachable managers, making them wonderful places to slow down and savor the experience.

Aroma: Enchanting, non-pungent woodiness, soft leather, mint, paper, red plum, seaside pebbles, and a hint of ginseng.
Palate: Artisanal cola, faint sandalwood, unsweetened sarsaparilla candy, dried herbal tea, red plum, moderate tannins, very herbaceous sweetness, and a hint of dark wood furniture.
