Label Design: The label this time is an original oil painting by Danish artist Bjarne Helverskov Andersen. We chose this painting for two reasons: first, it reminds us of the sand dunes at Kintra Beach on Islay; but more importantly, it was painted by our friend's grandfather when we purchased this cask from them. This is our small tribute to them.
Why bottle this cask: It was originally part of a four-cask set, and we bought the entire set just to get this one cask. It is truly mind-blowing. We've sampled many private bottlings of Bruichladdich, but rarely do we encounter one with such depth, texture, and striking character. Honestly, it's a real shame that this cask yielded only 140 bottles.
For this bottling, we switched to a 20-micron filter instead of the finer filter we usually use. This was done to recreate the original flavor and mouthfeel of drawing straight from the cask, preserving the captivating quality of this liquid. As a result, some very fine charred cask sediment may settle in the bottle, but we believe this actually enhances the tasting experience.

Nose: Yellow apple, dried fruit, minerals, paper, dark chocolate, peanut brittle, honey notes.
Palate: Sweet and tart, honey, floral, fruit candy, a hint of sweet peanut soup, herbal fragrance, pepper, incense.
Finish: Incense, pleasant woodiness, honey, pepper.
