This is a classic Dailuaine, aged for 12 years entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels. This release was originally planned for the previous batch, but a friend at the bottling plant kindly pointed out a typo on the label. Good heavens! While label errors are sometimes unavoidable, they are truly both painful and costly. Regardless, thankfully, the whisky is now successfully on the market, and it tastes excellent. The label features a portrait of Marie Curie, paying tribute to the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science," which happens to coincide with the date this cask was distilled.

Nose: Tangerine, citrus cream, yellow apple, pear, yellow lemon, nectar, fruit gummies.
Palate: Sweet and sour lemon custard, honey, herbal, tangerine, fruit jelly, orange peel essential oil, lemon thyme, young ginger.
Finish: Honey, herbal tannins, aromatic, orange peel oil, pepper, light woodiness, yellow lemon.
