⇨ Balmenach 是少數仍使用蟲桶冷凝的蒸餾廠之一。蟲桶可以產出厚實且帶有硫味的新酒，並在桶內熟成足夠的時間後，硫味弱化而讓整體呈現更豐富的風味。知名威士忌作家 Michael Jackson 就說，這個酒廠的威士忌「有力又黏牙」。

這次 2022 的 Maltbarn 春季發行，選桶人 Martin 在寄給會員的信裡一開頭就說：「我覺得自己又找到一些好桶子了」，顯然是批自信之作。
