Following on from our first Drookit Dug, cask strength session dram, we’ve created batch two.
Low abv but without dilution, blended using casks that had dropped towards 40v to create whisky richer than the strength would indicate.
A mixture of malt and grain, first and second fill bourbon and sherry casks. We even bunged in a little 40 year old grain because we were having fun and got carried away.
The kind of whisky to share with friends, enjoyable for us whisky nerds and approachable for the whisky curious, a dram for all!
Honey on buttered toast, fresh, elegant and unpretentious.

Nose: slightly full-bodied citrus fruit aroma, bananas, pineapples, and apples. Mid-palate notes of malt, butter, honey syrup, nuts, hay, and ginger. The finish has a hint of spice.
Palate: gentle. Flavors of citrus, plums, bananas, honey, coffee, creamy chocolate, nuts, licorice, and spices.
Finish: medium. Notes of citrus, banana, creamy chocolate, coffee, honey, marshmallow, nuts, and spices.
