Strathisla is currently the oldest continuously operating distillery in Speyside, established in 1786 by Alexander Milne and George Taylor. This historic distillery has changed its name several times: originally named Milltown, it later changed to Milton; in 1870 it became Strathisla, only to be renamed Milton again in 1890; it was finally acquired by Chivas Brothers in 1950 and changed back to Strathisla in 1951, a name it has retained ever since.<\/p>\n
