For us, heading to the exceptional distillery just outside Vaasa and working directly with the team at Kyr\u00f6 meant we got to bring you something really special here. How often would you get to experience a rye whisky this good, malted, from Finland and from a single cognac cask?

\nWhy we went to Finland to pick this exact cask. \u2013 We are fans of whisky generally, obviously Scotch whiskies but also world whiskies, and in particular Nordic distilling. So many exciting things happening globally but the Nordic distillers seem to have found a great balance between Scottish traditions and their own distinct identity. The Kyr\u00f6 warehouses were full of incredible, fascinating casks. We want to let you try interesting, unusual and most importantly tasty things. This cognac cask malted Finnish rye perfectly fits the brief, super interesting but in the kind of way that you\u2019ll actually want to keep drinking it!

Nose: bright and exuberant citrus fruit aroma, dried fruits, raisins, candied sweet and salty notes, honey syrup, chocolate, walnuts, wood, nutmeg, mint, and spices.<\/p>\n

Palate: full-bodied. Flavors of citrus, berry acidity, raisins, creamy chocolate, nuts, coffee, honey syrup, wood, nutmeg, mint, and spices.<\/p>\n

Finish: Medium finish. Notes of citrus, berries, plums, chocolate, coffee, woody tannins, minty freshness, nutmeg, and spices.<\/p>\n
